CONCERTS: KURT CARR SINGERS IN CONCERT

Sing Yvette, Troy, Kurt, Nikkita, and Vonnie (captured above in a private rehearsal) also known as Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers.

They were featured in Greensboro, NC along with the Greensboro Symphony who accompanied them in an evening filled with Symphonic Worship and Praise.

Now close your eyes and imagine listening to Kurt Carr and the Sangaz… now Imagine it being amplified with Classical music, violins, flutes, horns, and strings…. Heavenly right?

Must be what it sounds like at the pearly gates!

(Ok, so you know you can’t take the saints nowhere. While Vonnie (pictured above) was singing I heard some lady behind me yell out “sing daughter”. Keep in mind this is the Symphony. But Vonnie really ministered. Love the Gold jacket.)

(Maybe it’s just me but Troy is really giving us GQ. I’m so not ready.LOL just teasing. He is so nice. I got a chance to meet them after the show and he was really cool and down to earth.)

Kurt Carr formed Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr singers who have been singing and making chart toppers since the early 90’s releasings such albums as “Serious About It”, “No One Else” , and “Awesome Wonder” which went gold selling over 500,000 units.

His lastest release “Just the Beginning” on Zomba features him and his awesome background singers Nakkita Clegg-Foxx, Troy Bright, Vonnie Lopez, Michelle L. Prather, Nikki Potts, Yvette Williams, and Timiney Figueroa-Caton.

Now to catch you up on Kurt Carr he’s a stellar, and dove award winner that’s been known for penning such hits as ‘The Presence of the Lord’, ‘In the Sanctuary’, ‘For Every Mountain’ and ‘God Blocked It’.

Kurt Carr graduated from the University of Conneticut with a degree in fine arts which made his love for musical styles from classical, to jazz, blues, soul and gospel soar. Kurt Carr attributes his mentoring and style to such greats as the Rev. James Cleveland, Richard Smallwood (both of whom mentored him personally), Bishop Walter Hawkins, and Andrae Crouch.
