During the 90’s you would hear quite a bit about prayer partners and the miracles that would evolve from these unions. To make your acquaintance, two people (or more) would come together on a consistent basis for prayer and devotion as a source of accountability and strength .You know I really don’t hear a lot about prayer partners anymore and wanted to provide a platform for prayer. Is that alright???LOL

In addition I was in the bed the other morning reading and thought “wow …I would love to share this with the OC readers, which lead me to this idea. If you’re anything like me I hate those chain texts with all the scriptures and prophetic words and you’ll think I didn’t pray for you cause I’m not going to forward anything to 10 people including the sender. So this will be a great way for you to get in a good word and not have to text your entire address book to get the blessing.

For this addition of ‘Your OC Prayer Partner + 7 Scriptures’ we will be reading form 2 Tim.3:1-7 (and yes I did scan the scripts straight out of my home bible). This will give us a scripture for each day. You can leave your prayer request in the comments section below. At the end of the day the outer court was never a place to reside in. It was only a place to pass through on your way to the Most Holy Place. That defiantly applies to this site. Make sure you never get so caught up in the news that the OC reports that you forget to lift up those things that concern you in prayer.

Was in the Atlanta airport today and guess who I saw…no not an ATL House Wife…None other than Bishop Brian D. Moore. For those of you who don’t know you need to find out. Bishop Moore a native of Mt. Vernon New York is one of the rising pillars in the modern day Pentecostal movement. Currently serving as Senior Pastor and Overseer of the ‘Life Center Ministries’ a rapidly growing church in Charleston, SC he focuses on community revitalization, deliverance and praise. He also pastors The ‘Life Center of Charlotte’ in Charlotte, N.C. and serves as an apostolic covering to several churches throughout the Southeast and the Bahamas.

In the few years of its existence, the ‘Life Center Church’ has expanded to over 3,000 members and continues to grow. This growth is a sheer reflection of the intelligence and sophistication Bishop Moore brings to the modern day Pentecostal Church, an attractive quality for the young adult and season saint alike.

In order to fully introduce OC readers to the ministry of Bishop Brian Moore I thought it would be nice to take a praise break with Bishop Moore. The highly anticipated third studio album of singer/songwriter Bro. J Moss, entitled ‘Just James’, is set for release later this summer. Fans across the country have been wondering where the music mogul and third member of the mega production trio PAJAM has been and what he has been up to lately. Fans really began to worry after finding his MYSPACE had been deleted and the company website not updated.

Later declaring his hiatus via YouTube made it apparent that J. was simply taking a break, and we totally understand. After, producing mega hits for countless stars, living in the studio to release his own two CD’s, jet setting from city to city for tours, television appearances, and promotions-Then being cast as one of the judges for Gospel Music Channel’s American Idol®-style talent search series Gospel Dream, he needed the rest. Every minister needs rest and time away to clear their head and allow God to pour back into them.

Passionate about his craft J. did not take much time off. He appeared most recently at the Essence Music Festival T.D. Jakes Tribute lineup on Sunday, July 5, in New Orleans. He will also perform his new single, “Restored” July 22 on the Gospel Dream but you know we can’t make you wait any longer to hear some of his new material.

For those of you that had no idea, PAJAM budding stars and Moss’s mentees 21:03 have a YouTube channel called ‘21:03 TV’ (make sure you checkout all the old video’s to catch up) and to commemorate there 100^th episode they leaked a track from J’s new CD. The song is called ‘I Gave It Up’ and we know OC readers are dying to hear the new material. Yolanda Adams: The name stands alone and so does her artistry. That’s why it’s no surprise that the 2009 conference of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation has chosen her to provide the prayer breakfast entertainment. The Pine Forge Academy Choir from Pennsylvania will accompany the platinum selling artist and we pray that as the congressmen and women are taking back their eggs and bacon the power of God over take them.

Since starting ‘Yolanda Adams In the Morning’ her own highly rated radio show that airs on urban gospel stations around the country we haven’t seen much of Miss Adams. Her most recent national appearance at the 30^th Annual UNCF event honoring Pattie Labelle did yield a very stirring performance (actual video below…and let me tell you, by 3:06 Pattie is to full she can barely keep her mascara on…LOOK CLOSE AT 2:12 AND YOU’LL SEE TINA & ERICA CAMPBELL LITTLE SIS GOO SINGING BACKUP), so footage from the September 26^th event is highly anticipated.

Multi-platinum award winning minister/entertainer Vickie Winans continues to blaze trails. If you thought she had reached the complete altitude of her carrier after recording a rich discography of award-winning music, being honored at the 2009 Stellar Awards, and starring in the highly acclaimed body of work, Torn Between Two Loves, a play that she both wrote and produced…. than think again. Not only is that so far from reality but the hardest working Diva in Gospel music is not taking a day off.

In a 2006 report she revealed to interviewers that she was setting her sights on the small screen. “I want to get into television,” said Winans, who was looking to launch a reality television show. “I want to do a show called ‘The Vickie Winans Show–Dreams Come True.’ I’ve spent most of my life trying to make people happy. I want to do a television show and just go around this country making people happy. I want to give people who are less fortunate a boost in life.” She was planning to shoot the pilot in Detroit, and then shop it to networks. During that time she was also planning to launch her first stand-up comedy DVD. She further told the reporter “I do comedy in all my shows,” “So many people ask me for that [DVD] all the time, so I’m going to go ahead.” Due to unforeseen complexities she was unable to move forward with those ventures.

But as we know all things work together for the good of those who love God. Just when you think it’s all over he opens a bigger and better door. She was right, dreams do come true…she just may not have thought it would be her own dreams. Putting her good sense of humor to work BET Television Networks has announced the launch of a new comedy series “A Time to Laugh” hosted by VW slated to debut in January 2010.

But she’s not stopping there On August 4 Winans will tell us how she makes it through trying times with the release of her new album “How I Got Over” self-produced on her label Destiny Joy Records. The first single by the same name gives the traditional hymn “How I Got Over” a modern twist, with jazzy scatting from her nephew Tim Bowman Jr., who fans will remember from “Shake Yourself Loose” popularity.

Relentless in maintaining her established success, when not in the studio, Winans lives on the road. “I’ve done more than 200 shows a year, every year for the last 15 years,” she says. “I just love what I do. It’s tiring sometimes, but I’m on a mission.” And she does it all while maintaining her size 8 figure!!!

Wow… what is she not doing (taking a seat and wiping the sweat from our brow)!!!We are super excited about Winans new TV Show and look forward to reporting its high ratings. Which will be a guarantee since BET has learned its lesson and wouldn’t dare air the show at noon on Sunday mornings when everybody’s at church and wonder why the ratings are so low like they did 106 & Gospel. *wink*(((Sorry that show was hot)))
