The OC recently got our hands on the trailer for the upcoming film Preacher’s Kid, A modern-day adaptation of The Prodigal Son. The cast lineup is outstanding including singers LeToya Luckett, Tank and Essence Atkins. But the character we’re most interested in is ‘Litha’ ,a supporting role played by multi talented Gospel singer/songwriter Kierra ‘KiKi’ Sheard.
(Kierra throwing up duces on the ‘God In Me’ set)
Filmed in Atlanta, production ended November of 08 and we have no worries about Kierra’s debut portrayal of ‘Litha’ .Being a PK herself Kierra, brings lots of insight to the role which we are sure translated onto screen(as you can see in the trailer above 1:52 KiKi is looking very comfortable in front of the camera). We are so proud of KiKi and wish her much success and many more film roles.
After a recent film screening of Preacher’s Kid this is what industry insiders had to say:
“I love this movie! Stan Foster is born as a filmmaker. “ThePreacher’s Kid” is filmmaking at its best – well written, well directed, and the performances are top notch. It touches your heart, breaks your heart and puts it back together again. A new American classic is born.”

“Preacher’s Kid is a refreshing & lively film that serves as a great reminder that home is the safest place to grow.”
Neily Dickerson

(just a little insight- Neily was VP of Artist Development, Marketing, & Radio Promotions for Gospo Centric for years and now calling the shots for her own companies one after the same name Neily Dickerson Company and the other listed above.)
Written and directed by Stan Foster (who also wrote the 2004 screenplay ‘Women Thou Art Loosed’ from bestselling author Bishop T.D. Jakes), Preacher’s Kid is set for release October 30 and is sure to be an entertaining winner for every home movie collection.
