It’s homecoming season for many colleges and universities across the country and you can feel the excitement in the air.

Over the past 83 years, A&T State University’s Homecoming tradition has welcomed thousands of alumni, friends and families back to campus for a spirit -filled week of activities and events. From Greek Step Shows to Rap Concerts A&T’s Homecoming weekend usually draws over 200,000 people looking to cheer on collegiate football stars and dance the night away.

But Christian participants do not have to feel left out. With a mission to ‘provide a recreational activity for gospel music lovers who support A&T State University’s Homecoming’ Pastor Greg Drumwright has hosted the A&T Homecoming Midnight Musical and this is it’s 11^th year. Patrick Love & Sprit of David, Spoken Word Artist Apostle Freida Cates, and Ivan Powell are all slated to perform along with Pastor Drumwright’s own ensemble Singers & Musicians Alive.

Last year over 2,000 people attended this very popular Midnight Musical with attendees from all over the US and it’s sure to be standing room only like the many years before.

Fred Hammond is back and better than ever with his latest musical offering ‘Love Unstoppable’. The first CD to be released by Hammond in three years, it debuted in the number one spot on the Billboard Gospel Album charts, making it his sixth CD to hit the charts in the top spot.

Thousands of supporters embraced the new material as Hammond traveled the country from Chicago to Atlanta for his release week. During a recent interview with Verity Gospel Music Group (Hammond’s label) He had this to say:

“After three years away from the studio there was so much that I had to say, and I poured all of myself into these songs. Making this record was therapeutic in many ways, and it was also a joyful process because of the people I was able to work with”

You can also add ‘actor’ to the already impressive list of titles held by Hammond, he’s been busy preparing for his guest appearance in “The Clean up Woman” a stage play that opened the 14th of this month in NY and will tour the nation in the coming months. Fred Hammond’s new CD ‘Love Unstoppable’ is in stores now. You can look to see live performances of his new songs during the upcoming season of BET’s ‘Bobby Jones Gospel’.

In May of this year the OC was given some very exciting information and subsequently became the first news medium to break the story, releasing the ‘reality show’ deliberation video and reporting that “The Next Ms. Weeks” would be Pastor Christina Glenn who at that time was overseeing Victory of Praise Ministries in eastern North Carolina.

Since then Bishop Thomas Weeks III & Prophetess Christina Glenn have been on a massive media blitz. Together they have been very busy starting a television show ‘You Can Begin Again’, launching Prophetess Glenn’s personal website http://christinaglenn.com, announcing the release of her book ‘It’s Already Done’, joint ministry endeavors cross country, and most recently the couple sat down with Lexi from the Word Network to do a four part interview on ‘The Lexi Show’.
