In recent months, following a medical scare that revealed she had three heart attacks (unaware) while on tour, Kim Burrell buckled down, took a sabbatical and focused concentration on taking control of her health. Very successful she has lost over 100lbs.

While on this hiatus she thought a lot about her life and career. With her new body she decided to start over with what she calls “A New Life” complete with a newly launched official website (http://www.backstagewithkim.com), provocative promo photos as you can see above featured on the site, and lots of new announcements.

All with the backing of Kim’s new management agency the Lewis Agency helmed by Krishnar Lewis. Lewis a Manhattan Supermodel has the complete trust of Ms. Burrell and therefore she has placed her complete career in the hands. With this vote of confidence Krishnar has worked quickly to catapult Burrell into what’s being reported as two recent endorsement deals, the production of a new reality series, and a new SECULAR album “design to expand her audience”!!! Yes you heard it right…according to the video above and the press release you will read below the artist we have all known for years as a unwavering gospel singer has relaunched her career as a secular/inspirational artist. This comes as a surprise seeing as in the last few years Burrell was appointed assistant pastor at Jericho City COGIC in Texas were Supt. Brian Nelson is senior pastor. Even more shocking recently in a interview with Wintley Phipps on TBN just 2 months ago she declared:

I really knew I was anointed to sing under the Glory of God as early as 14.

Wintley Phipps then asked about her unwavering gospel career he says:

“You made the decision at some point to only sing for God, cause with a voice like that you can go a lot of ways… what made you say I’m not going to go that way I’m going to sing for the glory of God?”

Kim Burrell- I was convicted at about the age of 12 standing at the altar in a revival and I remember the Lord really saving me…

I remember being convicted about my relationship with God so much so that I’ve NEVER EVER entertained singing any other music that this[gospel] and never had to.

[big audience applauds] she continues…

Never had to mainly because people that sing secular music approached me saying it’s that anointing, and what we what you to do is come and share with us what that is. Never compromised never wrote any strange lyrics just do what God has called me to do… so I’ve been blessed.
