In Pursuing the Glory, Bishop Neil C. Ellis reveals the aspects of Gods glory as well as how one may prepare to receive and maintain his power and presence. In the book he shares his vocal surgery which served as an inspiration for the book.

“The first two weeks were the most difficult and frustrating; I almost placed God on the witness stand.  By the third and fourth week, my spirit had settled and I was able to manage my time and rest in the peace of God.  There was no pain whatsoever, just silence.  Did you get that?  No pain, just silence. During that time the Lord started speaking so powerfully that I was able to prepare 42 sermons and complete my tenth book, The Power of Pain.  Around the end of the third week, the Lord spoke very clearly to my spirit and said, “When I raise you up and release you to return to the pulpit, I want you to lead the way in getting my glory back into the church.  Out of those 42 sermons that I alluded to earlier, nine of those were messages on The Glory.” –Neil C. Ellis

The book was released in October 2009. A 10 city tour took place in order to promote the books message and sales. Also, Bishop Ellis will host a series of two day Pursuing The Glory Crusades through-out the United States this year. Ellis is a noted bestselling author of 10 books and there are no doubts that this will make the 11th bestseller.

When not taking on his role as an author, Ellis is the senior pastor of 8,000 member Mount Tabor Full Gospel Baptist Church located in Nasssau, Bahamas where he lives with his wife Mrs. Patrice Ellis and their two children. He has been affiliated with Mount Tabor since 1995, and is now serving as the 2nd presiding Bishop.
