Troubled rapper DMX born Earl Simmons was scheduled to be the headliner of a “Gospel Rap Extravaganza” held by Morning Star Sanctified Church March 6, 2011. Tickets for the show ranged from $35-$40. DMX and his wife have been members of the church for 8 months now. He displayed generosity by wanting to help the church raise money for repairs; therefore he agreed to perform for free.

However when venue owners heard of the rappers intent to perform, they quickly cancelled the show afraid of what type of chaotic crowed he would attract. Obviously Venue owners had amazing foresight. Unfortunately no more than 3 days after he was scheduled to perform DMX was arrested due to probation violations. DMX admitted to his probation officer that he had been using drugs.
