Three members of the now-defunct cult known as 1 Mind Ministries were convicted for murder in the death of Javon Thompson. The three include leader Toni Sloan who goes by “Queen Antoinette”, 41; her daughter, Trevia Williams, 22; and Marcus A. Cobbs, 23. Baby Javon was only 16 months old when he died, either December 2006 or January 2007. His mother Ria Ramkissoon did nothing to stop her son’s death; she plead guilty last year to child abuse resulting in the death penalty,she also testified against Sloan, Williams and Cobbs.

This innocent child’s life was ended so shortly due to anger developed by leader Antoinette because the boy did not say amen after blessing a meal. This a sad shame, most children at the age of 1 do not have the mentality to remember to say amen after saying grace, or even thinking to say grace before eating a meal for that matter. Poor baby Thompson’s was starved and dehydrated as a punishment, resulting in his death. But it gets worse, after praying for his resurrection, the cult then got rid of all evidence that pointed to Thompson’s death, placed his body in a suitcase and set it behind a home in Philadelphia according to Assistant State’s Attorney Julie Drake.

The three members are scheduled to be sentenced May 18^th.  The three defendants face up to 60 years in prison. Ramkissoon awaits her sentence as well which is said to be a 20-year suspended term and counseling.

It is very sad that innocent life had to be taken so early because of human ignorance. Rest In Peace Javon Thompson.
