As we all know,Gospel Artist Ty Tribbit recently released his first project ‘FRESH’ after the very public  scandal his brand is yet recovering from back in 2009. He later announced that the ensemble known as ‘Tye Tribbet & G.A.’ would no longer exist which devastated many fans.Many believed  the highly acclaimed artist  needed  time away from the public eye. During a recent interview with Oscar winning comedian Monique (featured below watch all three in sequence) Tye explains that he did take the time need for God to heal his marriage to his high school sweetheart Shante, and restore him back to righteousness.Since then he has made many strides to move past these events, hence the album title and  campaign for ‘FRESH’.

Now living the maxim “Everything new everything Fresh”, It’s clear that Tye nor faithful friends and family have given up on his ministry/gospel career.But long time supporters are hesitant and it’s safe to say their not making the road back to their hearts easy for the beloved artist. Many of Tye’s former diehard fans have strayed due to the loss of  his energetic choir ‘God’s Anointed’ and underlining feelings that he has “commercialized”  his signature sound with the ‘Fresh’ project. Yet as a testament of his resilience, Tye is building a new fan base.

Via Tye’s youtube channel he offers a series of  much needed interviews giving viewers an indepth (track-by-track) look at the writing and recording process  of  songs like ‘Keep Me’ featuring Pastor Tim Crawford , the title track ‘FRESH’ ,and  ‘Eulogy’ written by the Murphy twins of Rock Nation.

The staff and those connected to OCT have been deliberating for some time now about Tye’s place in our minds. Several staffers have followed this ministry all the way back when Jason Nelson was in G.A. and Just Jokes was an underground phenomenon.Yeah that long!(Google it )

Look people let it GO!!! So Tye did make you erase all the #’s out your phone like a thousand times and throw away your JayZ CD’s. But you can’t keep the “hypocrite sign” on his chest for it (not to mention we all needed the deliverance)!!! This is your therapy…. breath in, and breath out,then thank God your mess wasn’t smeared all over newspapers and blogs. (Big Smile ^_^)

Travis Malloy, a native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, is a singer, songwriter and producer.Raised by his mother, he grew up in an environment where gospel music was always around. As a boy he recalls hearing Tremaine Hawkins and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong playing in the house.But it was the music of Pastor John P. Kee that inspired him so much, that he began to immolate his vocal and performance techniques.

We caught up with Travis during a Sunday Morning service at Greater Grace Temple Community Church in Nashville,TN where Travis was featured as one of several guest artist for the morning. It wasn’t his vocal acrobatics or his style and apparent swag that caught my attention it was the lyrics to ‘Hear Me’ that I later learned he wrote that caught my attention. He’s a worshiper, and that’s hot.

The debut album entitled “Lift Him Up” was mostly written by Trav (can I call him that) and produced by music dynasty heir J Drew Sheard.In November of 2009, Trav performed at the famous Village Underground in Manhattan, New York where he was spotted by A&R’s Ronald & Tasha Lanier of R. Lanier Entertainment, they were so impressed by Trav’s performance, that they reached out to him,then introduced him to the former Vice President of Sony Music,  Producer Cory Rooney of Cory Rooney Entertainment.  Mr. Rooney is known for his production and writings for artists such as J Lo, Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige and Destiny’s Child.  In May 2010, Trav made history by penning a deal with  Cory Rooney Entertainment and becoming the first gospel artists signed to the label .

I asked Travis if Mr.Rooney was treating him well, you know… not putting him on the back burner for the R&B hopefuls. He did reassure me that Rooney was very well invested, a man of his word and has a deep desire to mentor this young gospel artist to the top. Nuf said!!! This weekend marks a very special time in the life of K im Burrell.Occurring right now in real time Burrell is being  installed as senior pastor of  Houston’s Love and Liberty Fellowship Church. This weekends installation services include iconic features/Pastors Shirley Caesar, Bishop Hezekiah Walker and guest speaker Bishop Liston Page II, Senior Pastor of The Highway Church of Patterson, NJ.  The installation service was today at Saturday at 12 noon.

But this is no overnight occurrence.In the last 12 months we have all watched an amazing story unfold.From three undetected heart attacks, to 100lbs shed along with the box many wanted to keep her in…2010 was Lady Kim’s year to declare “I’m here! and Living the New Life”. Burrell started 2010 with a new look and a new message, that many were not ready for!!!

But as the days after her relaunch followed, she slowed  down and took the time to hold a press conference . Giving fans a full understanding of her new found confidence.
