Lionsgate is gearing up to take the route of Oprah Winfrey and launch a new cable TV network helmed by Tyler Perry. A few hit family sitcoms on TBS weren’t enough for this ambitious media mogul. CEO of Lionsgate, Jon Feltheimer detailed how it would play out during an interview with the New York Times Tuesday. He called Tyler a “rare piece of talent that can bring an audience anywhere” and encouraged readers to keep their eyes opened for a planned cable TV channel!

If you’re looking to get your Madea fix, this is the network to go to! Feltheimer also noted that Mr. Perry’s films, television shows, and even his plays will be broadcast on this new network. Although the actual name for the channel is not yet known, the title “Tyler TV” has been thrown around. Launch dates were not discussed but expect to see Tyler Perry in all his glory on a cable station near you very soon. Kudos!!!
