Brian C. Reeves & Heart After God are an Indiana based group with a clean, fresh sound that is sure to catch the attention of gospel music enthusiasts with their Group Project “Awakening”. “Awakening” is a new and fresh splash of anointed music filled with heart grabbing lyrics, classical musical styles and the word of god. “Awakening” encompasses a variety of musical styles that any avid gospel music lover will appreciate.

The CD opens with “ Brand New”, an up tempo jazzy number that quickly turns into title track “ Awakening “. This song show Influences from Richard Smallwood and Kurt Carr. The hit song “Remind Me” is a wonderful blend of contemporary Christian style lyrics and musical arrangements fused with bluesy chords and transitions. The production of the music is changing but the impact and the message of the song is the same. “I Choose You” is another great song. It features a simple musical arrangement, featuring only vocals and piano. This song is such a beautiful song. The piano plays beautiful music and with a great voice to go with it you have a great song. This CD is a fusion of Jazz, Inspirational, Classical and R&B Music which puts Awakening in a class of its own.

Reeves is a singer and a songwriter and got his musical influence when he was a student at Indiana University where he studied voice and earned a concentration in choral directing. It was at IU where Reeves wrote his first song. Reeves said “It is about the time when we question God’s plan for us, when our faith is challenged, but then we understand who God is and his authority over our life. We realize that God is always looking out for our best interest, even when he says ‘no every song on the album has that thread of recognizing God’s ability in our lives.” Brian Reeves & Heart after God have produced a wonderful debut project and are on the brink of making an indelible impression on the gospel music community.

Two of the most prolific celebrities in the industry are joining forces and going on tour together.Radio and TV Personality Steve Harvey is already worried about keeping his material clean on his upcoming comedy tour because he’ll be joined by Kirk Franklin.

Harvey is the new host of the TV game show” Family Feud.” Next Month he will be releasing the book “Straight talk no Chaser” the follow- up to his bestselling “Act like lady, Think like a Man.” Franklin also has released his own book called “ The Blueprint” The comedian and the gospel star announced that they are heading out on the road together starting in March to Atlanta, Tampa, Nashville, North Charleston and Jacksonville.

Harvey says it’ll be a challenge trying to make sure he doesn’t offend the singers fans, it will be fun and a challenge trying to get through a clean show Franklin said“ Steve brings the jokes and I bring that Jesus!” “ The tour will start in Atlanta on March 19. I’m excited!!! We’re sure by the end of every show Kirk will have Steve CRYING…lol and Steve will have Kirk laughing^_^

President Barack Obama says he looks forward to a NATO alliance that is revitalized for the 21st century. President Obama vowed here on Friday to work with Portugal and all of Europe as Lisbon tires to cut public debt and soothe financial market fears. Portugal, struggling with a substantial public debt and deficit has had to pay dearly to borrow money on the bond market and has been under pressure to shore up public finances. The country parliament has approved a budget including salary cuts for government workers, which drew tens of thousands protestors into the streets.

Portugal premier said there was a broad agreement with Obama about the need for regulation of the financial markets. Both Spain and Portugal are trying to prevent market concerns about the devastation in Ireland’s banking sector spreading to their countries and triggering a new Greek-style debt crisis. President Obama said “Obviously, Portugal is working through challenges created by financial markets, I think that it’s important to note that the prime minister has committed himself to a very vigorous package of economic steps, and we are going to be working with all of Europe as well as Portugal to support these efforts.”
