Kevin Terry AKA “The Music Pastor” is the anointed multi-talented founder of the Washington D.C. based gospel choir Kevin Terry and Predestined.

” I was inspired by a group of college students who wanted to restore the era of aggressive “church choir” music while still relating to the issues and crisis of the young adult community.”

The exciting presence of the group has afforded them numerous opportunities for national exposure. music ministry is a dream come true for Kevin Terry after having to try and fail but to him and Christ believers its all a part of the process. He Says:

” Ive had many strongholds and afflictions in my life, but the Lord has and still is delivering me out of them all. ”

He Continues:

“I’ve had to learn how to trust Him and war for my purpose and destiny by effectively using the Word of God to counteract every attack from the enemy. I promised the Lord that if He would save my life I would live for Him and serve Him with my whole heart FOREVER!”

KEVIN TERRY AND PREDESTINED LIVE boasts special appearances by dynamic female vocalist Juanita Contee (Jonathan Nelson & Purpose) and singer, songwriter and emerging Praise & Worship artist Jarmel Evans. Terry believes and exemplifies on this project that music is created to be felt, not just heard and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be evident in the presentation. From the worshipful ballads, to the good ole fashioned church praise, this collection of music has an anointing on every song.

The excitement is building for Shirley Murdock’s first Live  CD/DVD Recording set for April 28. We have all been listening to Sis. Murdock for years and has of course recorded many albums but never live.Murdock insiders  are already  stamping the event as “Amazing” . What’s making it amazing you ask…Shirley of course along with phenomenal guest artist Regina Belle, Beverly Crawford (omg we can’t wait to see), and Kelly Price who will join her live.

Shirley’s album is being produced by two time Grammy and Stellar Award winner, Cedric Thompson. Every song has been handpicked to show the many sides of Shirley, and will have a birds eye view into her relationship with God.

Murdock recently stated “I am excited about the opportunity to capture the experience of live ministry. When you capture live moments, they are captured forever.” she continues… “With this new project titled ‘The Journey’ I want to convey and evangelize messages of hope to everybody. for me the journey has been a process and i can see the checkpoints in my life , and all the pieces in my life are coming together.”

James Fortune has joined the growing list of gospel artist  like Karen Clark Sheard and Kirk Franklin to start their own record label.The Light Records general manager James Robinson announced a marketing and distribution agreement with James Fortune to launch his new label Fiya World Music in association with  The Light Records and eOne Distribution.” I am so grateful to Black Smoke Music and Kerry Douglas for all they’ve done for me. the platform they gave me was unbelievable and i will always be thankful to them”. said Fortune.

A really smart move for James, particularly in regard to the millions allegedly stolen from tons of successful gospel  artist uneducated in the area of contract jargon and entertainment law. Fred Hammond once noted that over a 20 year span record companies made well over 100 million from his popular music career while he may have brought home 5 million of that!

OCT is excited about James’s new endeavors and wishes him much success. The first release from FIYA World Music will be a new James Fortune & Fiya album slated for early 2012.

Elbernita “Twinkies” Clark’s new solo CD ‘With Humility’ presents a bold new and fresh side of the gospel icon.While looking amazing all at the same time!  With her signature sound she also takes  a looks back and testifies about her life over more than four decades  in one of gospel musics greatest groups of all time.This is Twinkies first solo outing since the famous sisters came together in 2007 for ‘The Clark Sisters Live One Last Time’.

Before you make another move you have to listen to the CD’s first track ‘God’s Got A Blessing’ (featured in the promo video below)it is FIRE! By the time the Big Band base drums drop, you can’t help but stop and put a dance in your feet.

About her latest offering ‘With Humility’ she says“It has let me reflect back on how I was raised and how I got started in music, with my dad being pastor, and my mom with church and choirs”.

In her new video Twinkie’s does duet with her nephew Larry Clark who  produced the album, and did instrumentals on the organ.“The Clark Brothers” are also featured on Twinkie’s album.Twinkie recently spoke about ‘With Humility’ which is in stores now:

Shekinah Glory Ministry has set the release date for Contemporary  Gospel Jazz artist Tonya Baker’s highly anticipated sophomore CD ‘The Live Encounter’.Produced by Grammy Award winner Myron Butler and recorded last summer  Tonya will be celebrating on Saturday, April 30th, at her Album Release Party at New Covenant Believers Church in Columbus, OH.

Her first radio single is a sing along ballad ‘Miracles’ (featured above) composed by well known drummer Romel Gibson . ‘Miracles’ is unquestionably packed with much skill from both Tonya and the BG Singer, well know goto group Levi , best know for with Myron Butler . But above skill it’s anointed to send you into God’s presence! ” I would be lying if i said that i wasn’t nervous. I’ve been asked several years when are you going to do a live recording, well this is the first time and I hope that God will be pleased, by our offering and the listeners will be blessed and encouraged. I don’t want them to just come for a good show , but for an encounter with God.” said Baker.
