Prosecutors said that 46 guns, military survival equipment and thousands of rounds of ammunition had been seized at the home of Thomas Piatek, 46, at a hearing in Indiana. But according to Piatek’s attorney his client is guilty. “Just because he hangs out with those guys doesn’t mean he agrees with all of their views,” Jerry Flynn said. But according to Assistant U.S. Atty. Dean Lanter, Piatek was part of the the “inner circle” of Hutaree and had participated in three training sessions for firearms and bomb-making in Michigan. His family reached out saying that he would never participate in violent acts against the government, and that he was a good-natured man. They also said that “Piatek never expressed extreme anti-government views and that he often talked about his activities in Michigan, describing them as “playing army.” “I knew he went up there and played army, but I didn’t know anything about the overthrowing of government,” said a childhood friend, James Duha. Other eight members of the Hutaree militia, including alleged ringleader David Brian Stone, 45, have been arrested since the series of raids in Michigan. They face seditious conspiracy charges and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Last month the absolutely gorgeous gown Michelle Obama wore for the inaugural balls went up for display in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. It was added to the “First Ladies at the Smithsonian” exhibition. It will be displayed in the new “A First Lady’s Debut” gallery which includes 11 gowns worn by first ladies from Mamie Eisenhower to Michelle Obama.

There are 24 dresses total that are included in the two galleries that make up the “First Ladies at the Smithsonian” exhibition. Currently 14 dresses including those worn by Grace Coolidge, Jackie Kennedy, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Helen Taft are on display in the main gallery.

The First Ladies exhibit is one of the museums most popular attractions, and has been for nearly a century. As a new addition, Mrs. Obama’s white chiffon one-shouldered Jason Wu designed gown is bound to attract more viewers to the infamous collection; her fashion sense is impeccable and what better place for it to be showcased, than the National Museum of American History’s First Ladies Collection.

Historically black Methodist Allen Chapel AME Church, including a crowd of more than 1,000 welcomed President Obama and his family (Michelle, Sasha, and Malia) this past Sunday where they attended a traditional Easter service, celebrating the resurrection of Christ. The Pastor and members were surprised that The First Family decided to attend services so soon after a shooting close by left four people dead and five wounded the Tuesday prior reports eurweb.com. None the less they were elated for them to be there. “Mr. President, you have no idea how much your presence has meant to us today,” Allen Chapel’s senior pastor, the Rev. Michael Bell, said after his sermon. “It was heartening to know than southeast Washington has not been forgotten,” he said, adding that Obama’s presence at the church was “bringing healing and hope into this community right now.”

The Pastor also paid recognition to and praised the first lady for her efforts at community outreach. He received cheers and laughter as he described President Obama as “the most debonair, the most suave president of this United States of America.”

After the nearly two-hour service,The Obama’s took communion. The President’s mother in law, Marian Robison, as well as mayor of Washington, Adrian Fenty, and his wife were also present to join him and his family during the services.

Popular name brand Apple Inc. known for its Mac Books and iphones have teamed up with publishing company Zondervan who will be publishing more than 1,000 Christian titles for the highly awaited ipad launch. The company was one of the first to publish a title in the Apple iBookstore. They published three translations of the Holy Bible, one including, “Take Three” by Karen Kingsbury, and newly released “The Christian Atheist,” by Craig Groeschel.
