The recent death of pop singer Michael Jackson has demanded the presence of political leader Reverend Al Sharpton in the public eye. Just hours following MJ’s tragic death Sharpton offers a very quick response to the many mourners and announced a memorial service being held that same night July 25th, 2009 at the Apollo Theater in Harlem via CNN News. During the life of Michael Jackson, Sharpton had been a close friend and confidant to the star. The untimely death of this American Legend has shed light upon Al’s loyalty to that relationship.

After his very moving memorial speech millions of Americans are expressing their new found respect for the reverend and his ministry. Americans are also commenting on the eloquence of his words while remaining true to himself.
